Madrid, 18 sep .- Financial institutions operating in Spain between April and June closed 552 branches, 1.2 percent of the total, a cut that started in the last quarter of 2008, according to data released today by the Bank of Spain, who adds that La Rioja has 490 offices of financial institutions.

In late 2008 banks, savings banks and credit, global agenda credits, cooperatives had 46,167 branches, which in March of this year already had been reduced to 45 792.
